Level design?
This one’s easy right? Just make levels introduce mechanics one-by-one and then iterate. Unfortunately, the idea of game economy ($) messed it up.

First wireframe
The UI alone took me about 2/3 of the time spent on the project. I had given up on responsiveness of any kind. Elements are set into a fixed structure like in old games. Or progtest. Lol.

The GUI sucks. But at least it sucks consistently.
One problem was how to visualize the miner decision tree for the player. Speech bubble idea was chosen.
Colors???
How to make a background gradient? Just sample it from an old photo :)

It’s not something I’m proficient at. I don’t even have any equipment or software. So I did what I know how to do instead: gather requirements, break down the problem, iterate.
